Painter, sculptor and print-maker, Jones studied at the Hornsey Art School and the Royal College of Art. He held his first one-man show in 1962. He was an early and leading figure in the pop-art movement, and won the Paris Biennale Prize in 1965. His style of slick fetishistic imagery of girls taken from pornographic and fashion magazines is highly individual and his success has been world-wide.
