Greco was born in Catania, Sicily. He was a very prominent sculptor and also produced some exquisite etchings, mostly of female nude figures. He was the Professor of Sculpture at the Rome Academy of Fine Arts. In 1956 Greco received the Grand Prize in Sculpture at the Venice Biennial. He was also awarded the President’s Gold Medal for work in Education, Culture and Arts (Italy). His works are in the collections of very many international museums and galleries
